Gill is a certified WSET Educator and Assessor to Advanced level and holds a CERT IV in training and assessment.In 2011 Gill became Australias first Certified Specialist of Wine- an international accreditation firmly focussed on education.

She was the lead facilitator of the Award winning Qantas wine training and sommelier in the sky program. Over 4 and a half years, the program trained 4000 people in 7 cities and 3 continents in wine education and service.

After travelling the world for over 25 years tasting, studying and visiting wine regions she still believes wine is a journey not a destination and that she has only just scratched the surface of what she needs to know about this exciting beverage.

She has judged at the Winewise small vigneron awards-Macedon ranges wine show,Adelaide hills wine show and is a panel chair for the Adelaide review hot 100. She has also completed the prestigious AWRI advanced sensory course which trains judges.

A lover of all things vinous, she believes that wine is something that connects people of all ages, experiences and cultures. A member of the Australian Sommeliers association, Wine communicators Australia and involved in the Industry for many years, Gill grew up in Mclaren Flat and has now given up her wandering to teach wine education in her home region of Mclaren Vale. Her first job in the industry was at the Settlement wine company in Blewitt Springs in the 70’s.

With many years of customer service experience from economy to first class, and working with people of all ages, she believes that training, along with the confidence it provides, is the key to a great customer service experience.
